Good article from Martha Stewart more detailed than most of hers. Both Thyme and Oregano are easy to grow and use fresh.
I keep oil of oregano capsules available. They are good to increase immunity, maybe to actually get rid of whatever, when feeling poorly, like some type of creeping crud might be developing.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel I don't know either, but have stopped a developing cold with one capsule . . . or so it seemed. Maybe getting to sleep earlier did it! But they are wonderful seasonings and do no harm! They smell great growing in the garden too.(Also basis of Zatar.) I put bunches of both in a rejuvenating Spaghetti sauce, with a lot of Rosemary and Bay Leaf too.
