German navy chief resigns following Ukraine comments

Any involvement of military-leadership and the world of politics is a theater of operations to be avoided like the plague in western-style democracies. I talking here about the military while actively serving. This does not apply to retirees and other veterans once separated; most of us (I hope) have political opinions and views – a right we all served to protect.

For those who choose to dance in that minefield, I caution it’s like mixing water and gasoline. Even if homogenization were possible, it won’t last long and God only knows the damage that might be done to the engine in the process. Don’t put “Hydrogas” or “Aquatane” in your political tank.
