Starship - We Built This City (Na, sowas!, 11.01.1986)

There is only one Grace Slick that is for sure. I remember when this song was first released because of he radio cuts in the song the folks in San Francisco thought Starship was taking credit for the city itself......which was stupid, it is only a song. There was some controversy about it in San Francisco though.

Listen to her song El Diablo. She is an elite singer in my mind.

Thought it was great when they rolled this song and were able to “localize” it by editing in a city/area specific reference when the DJ part comes up. Heard it in played in different cities and it was always a winner.
