PO1 William "Chip" Nagel sad state of affairs. Let's see how the Trumpunlicans justify the law.

Some conservatives on RP already did. They claim that the veteran was at fault for not filling out the form correctly. My points of rebuttal are below:

1. The Texas state government never informed him of the supposed error; he had reach out and to inquire about the actual issue.
2. His family mentioned that the voter registration process is more arduous today than in previous times
3. There is no online option for Texas residents to register for voting; it requires paper documents to be dropped off or mailed (which can be difficult for some based on location, disability or supply shortages)

You have to provide the same information when renewing your drivers license. You have to show your ID to purchase alcohol. Laws change, 80 percent of Americans want voter identification laws to prevent corruption. This a leftist piece.

CSM (Join to see) - First, it's Capt., not CPT, as I'm retired Air Force, not Army (although I did spend the first half of my 20 years on the Army side).

And again, I'll forgive you because you are not from here. Texas does not have a way to update one's voter registration. If you call the county, like he did, to try and update it with his SSN and DL, they will tell you that they can't do that. If he moves, he can fill out a new voter registration, but if he hasn't moved he's screwed, and will not be able to get an absentee ballot.

This isn't a citizen responsibility problem, it is a law problem.

Next, there is no evidence of corruption in the past election that would have cost Trump the presidency. No, he was voted out of office by an overwhelming number, by the same number of votes that cost Herbert Hoover the election in 1932 against FDR. And now it looks like he has violated a number of criminal laws. If so, he should be indicted and prosecuted.

It's not a matter of hurt feelings. I was a member of the GOP from Reagan until Trump was nominated, then went independent with libertarian leanings. Voted Libertarian in 2016, and held my nose to vote for Biden in 2020, just to get Trump out of office. You got downvoted because your comment demonstrated a lack of respect for opposing viewpoints.

CSM (Join to see) - well bless your heart... you still got it wrong. Only the "c" is capitalized. Abbreviated in all caps means that it is a Navy O-6, instead of an Air Force O-3E. Here's a link to the DOD DTA App M, that lists all of the branches but the Space Force. https://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/Docs/Training/DTA_App_M.pdf

LOL, it sort of reminds me when the Texas Guard HQ, mostly staffed with Army Guard personnel, would send out messages to Air Guard units, and would format the letters in the Army style. They would then get upset when the various wing commanders (Brig. Gen. and Col. types) would not respond by the suspense date that they had indicated only with "S: 5 Feb 22" in the memo/letter heading. They didn't have a clue that the Air Force did things differently. (BTW, in the AF, you indicate a suspense date in the subject line by typing "SUSPENSE: 5 February 2022")
