Yes, violence against a government can be justified. Right now, there is no reason for violence against our government. There hasn't been for decades. Violence against the governments of China and other communist regimes would be justified. Civil rights and liberties are nonexistent.
The middle class has definitely become much smaller. The gap between the upper class and the working class is increasing. But that alone does not justify violence against the government at any level.

SrA John Monette I agree. I think we will (and are) have that sort of violence. In my mind extreme income inequality is what is driving a lot of what we are seeing now. When people are under constant threat of not being able to take care of themselves or family they start looking for something to blame. In many cases that something they find (or are led) to blame is not what is really causing their problems.
