Not with politicians making the decisions and the CIA helping the cartels. It would just be another Afghanistan debacle

While significant progress may be there to be had, the cartels will never go away. The Mafia has been greatly damaged by RICO and the Teflon Don but it still exist in much smaller form. The Cartels are operating in Mexico where many politicians are bought. Don't see it happening

Nor I. Nor am I sure there is a comparison between the Mafia and the cartels and MS13. The latter are orders of magnitude more vicious. And how long have we had a half assed response to the source?
