My Virtual Salute to Col. Gail Halvorsen! R.I.P. I've had a few friends in my work experience who were lucky recipents of his candy bombing runs during "Operation Little VITTLES. One of the things they shared with me is the is that they would share the candy with the Group in their target area and express how truly grateful they were.
