"Will Oregon’s House Bill give overtime protection to farmworkers?
SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A bill that would give overtime protections to Oregon farmworkers passed the House 37-23 Tuesday and will head next to the Senate for consideration. Proponents say House Bill 4002 would provide equal protection for farmworkers who haven’t been able to earn overtime because of an 80-year-old federal exclusion based in racism."

This can't be good, at all. Drive the wages up and the costs go directly to the consumer. This will shutter some farms/orchards or reduce their output. The entire purpose of an illegal alien economic slave force it lowered costs. If they want to force overtime wages, then it needs to be only for Citizens, Resident Aliens and those on a Green Card status. This will also make the Mexican farms/orchards more lucrative as buyers seek lower cost produce. The USA has to force Mexico to follow suit with declared overtime wages for their farm workers and orchardmen/women.

Then there is the increased draw (wages) of illegals to transgress our Borders, instead, working to make their countries a better place.
