It may be similar to the U.S. military where some people reach a rank where they don't think COMSEC or OPSEC applies to them.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - Like a TAO (Tactical Action Officer) that We Briefed and Trained Our CHENG (Chief Engineer) LCDR. As we were approaching shore He broke the Old Cell Phone just as We were getting ready to Shut down the Equipment. "What the Hell is that" on the O-Scope. Dialed it in to Listen to the CHENG talking to the Wife. CTM1 and CTO1 Went outside got on either side of Him and Just Looked at Him! "What?' We Just Pointed at the Antenna he was standing beside "You Didn't! Shit". We're Always Listening!
