Just like with the American Administration, they'll easily give lots of money to stupid climate change mitigation but they won't give it to the National Defense Budget.
I bet you the United States and Canada gave up a lot of their anti-tank and anti-aircraft War stock to Ukraine and now they are now in need of replenishment but the bureaucratic Knuckleheads in Ottawa or Washington D.C. would rather divert money to the folly of 'climate change' or barely keep the military budget with inflation caused by 'Social Justice Warrior' stupidity as in the brokeback President Biden Administration trying to destroy our oil and gas industry piece-by- piece.
With Rising oil prices fostered by bad policy of the President Biden government, the Canadian government gets lots of oil royalties from Alberta and Saskatchewan and that should easily be able allocate money to reconstitute Canada's broken military. Even President Biden trying to save his fellow doomed House and Senate Democrats in the upcoming mid-term elections by releasing a million barrels per day from the Strategic petroleum Reserve will still keep oil prices very high and allow the Canadian government to fund their defense procurement if they choose to do so.

Stephen, you sound really disgusted. I just wonder if maybe you have done some research on climate change and made yourself aware of what it’s doing to our planet. We HAVE to get off oil if not for the climate but to stop funding countries that want to hurt us. As for your comments on the POTUS administration, being a leader means you juggle a lot of balls in the air looking out for the short, medium and long term effects of all issues. I think he’s managing things very well providing what he can to Ukraine without turning over the applecart and starting WWIII.

I have listened a lot to dr. Judith Curry. She talks about the unknowns and the unknown unknowns. She talks about what a waste of money and energy if we lower the Earth's temperature 1/2 of 1 degrees Celsius over the course of 50 years because the ocean acts like a capacitor. She talks about the drunk at the street light. The drunk only wants to look for the missing keys where I can see the street light and not look elsewhere. I live in Canada and warmer winter weather is actually helping open up the Northwest Passage. We have longer growing seasons. Over the course of 200 million years we have had quite a few warming and cooling Cycles without man getting involved. I'm laughing because look at our defense budget today, it's not even keeping up with inflation but our stupid Administration wants to put stuff toward climate change and I'm saying it's going to be a self-fulfilling prophecy because we will have World War 3 because we have a stupid president who is too weak and our enemies we'll go over the edge. That's why I look at something like this and laugh at all the trillions of dollars. They're talking about 5 trillion dollars a year for the next 15 years. You can buy a lot of infrastructure and rebuild bridges in the USA or you could rebuild the US Navy and not cut back on a chips in the next defense budget. To me it is folly.
I have made this joke that when we have our next nuclear war and we have to have our new Marshall plan after the fact, those people who were into the climate change facts and will be going into the Sarah Connor insane asylum in Atascadero California because they will realize that they do need their world by going left full rudder into the iceberg of socialism.
We are in between ice ages anyway. It might cronies our goes underwater, it would have happened with or without the Industrial Revolution. It would have happened with or without us using fossil fuels.

President Biden destroys everything he touches. He can't manage his own temper in front of reporters so how could I expect his staff to do the same when they're just as wacko as he is. By the way, I will fix my first posting because I am away from my computer right now. I am saying that Micronesia is going to go underwater even without carbon dioxide from fossil fuels.
People exaggerate how much we have with wildfires in California but then stupid California environmentalists won't let them cut the dead trees that have been killed by the beetles that kill trees. We have that same problem up here so when you have regulations that prevent cutting of trees or preventing controlled Burns for 25 or 30 years you have massive fires and then politicians grandstand and say it is from climate change. No, is from a responsible stewardship from idiots in California and elsewhere.
Fire is a natural occurrence in nature even before man. That's why some seeds only Sprout with fire.

I have land in California (Cambria). Most of my trees on that property had the beetle infestation and I was allowed to cut them down. I only need to replant new ones which is fine with me. Im not sure if its a state park or something like that to which you're referring....sounds like there's more to it...like maybe they don't want to pay to cut them down? It cost me about $1,000 for one tree.
President Biden sure has slowed down and aged since taking office. I'd say he's not getting much sleep and it shows. Long ago I decided upon which leadership style I would prefer, a high character and not so smart or smart with low character. I would always chose the first of which I think President Biden is. He can surround himself with all the smarties he can find, but when it comes to doing the "right and good" thing for the American people and the world, I don't want someone lacking in character to make those decisions.
