Seriously, I remember his name being told in stories with the Special Forces (Green Beret) when I was very young in my military career. 7th Group?

Schlitz is a beer brand... I used to drink it over 40 years ago come April12th. 40 years sober... one day at a time.

I’m so happy you “are” still on the wagon. My maternal grandfather was an alcoholic. When our family Doc told him he was a dead man due to sclerosis of the liver he quit drinking but overdosed on the drugs the doc gave him. Anyway he used to say Schlitz gave you the shits but Schmidt‘s didn’t.

A true hero never gives up and SGM Schmidt is the epitome of this true warrior ingrained in his psyche. He is a great leader to emulate.
