Unfortunately President Biden doesn't think that sanctions work even though his staff contradicted him. He should have done this three months ago. There have been three iterations of sanctions since the invasion of Ukraine in late February. I know other presidents would have slammed president Putin with all the sanctions all at once before the shooting starts. This President cares more about transgender kids and climate change as being more important.
