They actually make wood burning sets. People are pulling transformers out of microwave ovens. The voltage produced is lethal. If you decide to do this buy a commercially produced instrument and get instructions.

And wear something that does not conduct electricity. And keep a fire extinguisher handy.

SrA Ronald Moore - actually they sell machines for this and it is a do at home but follow directions and learn and be safe. Taking a transformer out of a microwave is not recommended.and is highly discouraged.

It's sad that they learned the hard way. Tick tock has more than once cause injury or death to its subscribers. Remember the milk cart trying to climb over them and falling down people got hurt.
