I agree, the American Samoan's should be considered US citizens.

Interesting. Would this also mean the Okinawan's would be eligible for US Citizenship - for those born there while it was a US Territory?

I have no idea if Somoa still has "residual sovereignty" over American Somoa. I do know that a US Citizen CANNOT buy any land in America Samoa *unless* they can show they are >= 50% Somoan.
