Nato's deputy secretary-general Mircea Geoana says that it could be years before the Ukraine war is over, but that it's ready to support Ukraine for as long as the war takes.
As US President Joe Biden requested Congress to send $33bn (£27bn) more in aid to Ukraine, he said that it was Nato's obligation to push Russia back, and that he had never seen Nato's members as united as they are in their support for Ukraine's defence.
He criticised Russia for their threats to use nuclear weapons, saying this is not what a "respectable nuclear power" should be doing, and called on them to stop using that rhetoric.
"It's our moral, strategic and political obligation to push back the Russians."
