It was his choice. We did not send him there. I do feel for his family and friends.

The loss of any American anywhere is a terrible thing. But most retired and former military people are willing to risk everything in the freedom no matter the cost. I am not sure leaving a 7-month-old child and your wife was something I would do. My heart goes out to his loss and his family, and I hope some group or organization remembers he was an American Veteran first and does something to help his wife and child.

Thanks for the share. Fighting for freedom is a choice. Those who have served in the volunteer military and those also from the draft military understand that freedom is never free.
