Not sure if the standards have been lowered but since last year, critical race theory is being taught in the military across the board. That goes against equal opportunity. I don't have time right now but I have the slides for equal opportunity and when you put in prejudiced has been part of the critical race Theory, white people are made to feel guilty for something they didn't do and black people are told to be the oppressed. Not sure if that's a factor? Also, some of these deaths happened off the ship so maybe alcohol was a factor?

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel I hope you went in front of a board and they gave him a bad conduct discharge. Believe it or not, in my last year as Lieutenant Colonel I went on three officer separation boards. We had one officer who was a real flake. He didn't really do anything wrong except he just didn't show up and he didn't communicate. He asked for a general discharge so he could still use his benefits. The other ones were other than honorable discharges. It was actually weird to be part of a board. Having the Jag officer for the prosecution and another officer there to defend the respondent was interesting.

I know when you have a captain's Mast or what we call non-judicial punishment article 15, you normally have your master chief petty officer there to make sure that the enlisted sailor is treated fairly by the commander making the decision? I know that's how it was with our army side of the house that you'd have his first sergeant an E8 there to make sure that he wasn't being screwed over unless this guy was a dirtbag and he was just there to validate his misbehavior. I know sometimes that Junior enlisted make mistakes and sometimes the Article 15 of losing a stripe it's justified. Any stories to tell? Did you ever have to back up some sailor who made mistakes and you were there to testify to try to mitigate his position?

LTC (Join to see) Article 15? "Captains Mast" LOL! What is That? Respectfully Naval District Washington, DC Master at Arms Badge #9. Master at Arms to Chief of Staff, Commander Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command. In the Navy We Also have a "Beneficial" Captains Mast. I've had One of Those for Restoring Mode Bravo Communications Capabilities to USS California CGN-36 after the Drydock/Shipyard totally screwed up the Patch Pannel between Outboard and Radio Central during RCOH. 3 Days CTM1 and I were Awake working with the Shipyard Rep and the RMs in Radio Central.

"What did Navy leaders promise sailors aboard the USS George Washington?
Two of the most powerful leaders in the Navy visited beleaguered sailors aboard the USS George Washington, sparking hope for some those things will improve amid a rash of suicides and a mental health crisis, although the pair did not make any concrete promises."
