What a plea deal. He should have been dismissed and is not someone I want in my officer corps. Let him have a discharge that allows VA benefits (not retirement) but I do not want him as an officer. If I had seem him do that and it was clearly not consensual as a major I probably would have decked him. Consensual still not acceptable but an ass chewing. This is disgusting.

SGT (Join to see) - I'm not a big believer in the phrase, "different spanks for different ranks." I honestly think it would not matter. If it did matter, you would think the officer would get in deeper trouble than the NCO. I think this just made headlines because of the severity of the accusation and he is an officer. Maybe if it was an NCO, it wouldn't of made headlines. But the NCO would be forced to retire as well. But what do I know.

What a pig. He deserves public condemnation. And such blatant NONSENSE to suggest he be given "...a discharge that allows VA benefits..." It's BULLSHIT pandering to an "officer" who the writer suggests should be treated with kid gloves. Balderdash! That's a blatant slap in the face to the countless dedicated professionals in the officer corps.
