An abortion care provider pushed back on questions from a Republican congressman when she was asked about whether she would ever abort a foetus that was halfway through the birth canal.
The questioning took place during a House Judiciary Committee hearing focusing on how abortion rights are at risk. The hearing came after Politico reported a leaked Supreme Court draft opinion overturning Roe v Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that enshrined the right of women to seek an abortion.
Representative Mike Johnson of Louisiana asked Dr Yashica Robinson, an obstetrician-gynecologist based in Huntsville, Alabama, whether she supports the right of a woman who is seconds away from birthing a healthy child to terminate a pregnancy.

My question back to her is do you have kids? grandkids? What if they were aborted? You wouldn' have them with you now! Peopole can WHAT IF all sides of this thing to death but the bottom line is that THERE IS NO NATIONAL BAN ON ABORTIONS if Roe v Wade is overturned. Yes, some states have trigger laws that go into effect but if you look a tthe map it is about 50/50. Women can still ge tabortions if they go to one of those states that allows it. This isn't a ban on abortion, it s a constitutional look at deciding if this is a nation issue or a states issue and in my opinion it is a states issue. Even Ruth Bader Ginsburg stated that on mutiple occassions.
