I was at LeJeune in 1968 for the Hospital Corpsman, "Field Medical Service School," a year before being sent to Veitnam. The DI's we had were great guys but for those of us there just out of Corp's School, it was a pretty boring assignment although we did rent canoes even though it was winter and snow covered. LOL

Thank you for sharing. I was stationed at Camp Lejeune for 10 months but new nothing of these monuments. I am a member of The Tuskegee Airmen, a US Army/AF WW2 historical group, that followed the same path. Regretfully, I know more about TAI history than I do of The Montford Point Marines.
