I was talking to a friend about this last week. I would prefer the bumped up caliber. Looks - MP5 meets M4. Big drawback - I hear the price tag is way up there. But that's nothing for Sig or the Pentagon. The bumped up ammo is also expensive.

The barrel length is too short to stabilize the 5.56, but may be adequate for the much slower .300 Blackout. The latter also is also easier to suppress.
