I’m proud to have served at Ft Bragg as a newly-minted 2d Lt out of OCS at Ft Benning in 1967. I served in both the 3s SFG (A) and the 2POG. Fine units and I treasure my memories of those days.
Changing the name of that facility is dumber than dirt.

Most soldiers don't even know who Bragg was. All most Americans knew was Ft. Bragg home of the 82nd ABN, WWI, WWII etc. I want to know how much is going to be spent renaming everything around the base, city, state, web pages, all documents and signage. This is what we are focused and not fixing the the retention, enlistment issues, command climate and moral in the military. Hell a couple better the economy, fuel cost, education system.
