Well, they've been successful--sadly--in turning so many of their flock into jackbooted nazis that the America we grew up in is no longer that "shining city on a hill" but the shards and remnants of a dream that King once opined.

This is why the issue will never be solved. The refusal to understand the "Why" behind incidents like this occur means they will continue to occur.
If you want to start to understand the issue just go look in a mirror and see one of those responsible. Its so easy and convenient to blame the inanimate object, the NRA or the tratior Trump for this but its the one you see in the mirror every morning who is looking for the quickest way to make the problem go away instead of solving the problem.
