The fact that he "made violent threats" seems like a side note. He should have been arrested when he made the violent threats, not just when he showed up with a gun.

MSgt Dale Johnson - Threatening a Supreme Court Justice is a federal crime. Having a gun on him (everything is illegal in Maryland) should just add to it.
