He did a USO tour in the mid-seventies, and gave a great concert at Torrejon's NCO club, which sold out in less than an hour. He cancelled his return flight reservations, and the Base commander opened up the recreation park for that concert, and signed off on three-day passes for all who helped build the stage and organize the event. Robinson mentioned he was quite taken with the response, and promised to return the following year, which he did.
