Congressional Republicans who oppose abortion rights are struggling to talk about the horrific case of a 10-year-old rape victim who had to travel across state lines to Indiana to get an abortion because of strict laws in her home state, Ohio.
The case made international headlines after President Joe Biden decried Republican policies that forced the "already traumatized" child to have to travel out of state to terminate the pregnancy. Republicans and right-wing media criticized Biden, suggesting the case had been fabricated, only for a suspect to be arrested days later.
Confronted with the reality of the case, GOP lawmakers interviewed Thursday appeared to be grappling with how to respond — from confusion to blaming the media.

a) According to the victim's mother, the sex was consensual, not rape.
b) The impregnator/rapist was not a minor, as reported by the abortion provider, but rather a since arrested 27-year-old illegal immigrant. He was arrested not for rape but for sex with a minor.
There are a lot of unclear details about this whole thing even now.

SFC Terry Cole well it is not ok for a mother to give consent but if we, the government, arrested to mom for child neglect, abuse, or just bad parenting we would be told we were overstepping parental rights and we took a mom from her child. It isn't the right that is ignoring the mom's bad deeds it is the left that is parading a 10 yr old that had to be taken across state lines to get an abortion because again I am sure that is what mom wanted and picking what they will and will not put in public to fit the narrative...in this case abortion.
