Remembering 1ST LT John W. Abbott, (USMC) KIA Vietnam

U.S. Marine Frist Lieutenant John W. Abbott of Avilla, Indiana was born on July 23, 1945. Prior to his commission, Abbott was a member of Company “K” while attending CTR/CTT training at NCTC Corry Station, Pensacola. Abbott was under orders to NSGA Sabana Seca, Puerto Rico; however, his orders were cancelled once he accepted a commission via the Officer’s Candidate School (OCS) program. Abbott departed NCTC Corry Station in August 1967 for OCS at Quantico, Virginia, Abbott.
