...""I think this is an example where the local community rose up and said, 'No, we are not going to have chaos in our city, we are going to be in solidarity with the people that are on the buses and help them to the best of our ability,'" Nuñez said. "Now we're reaching our limit on that."

But he added that resources from the city or from the federal government and other municipalities could really help. "I think we can do an amazing job of demonstrating to this nation what it is to really integrate newcomers into our communities."

The GOP governors are committing federal crimes punishable by up to 5 years in prison. It is a crime for any person, "knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, transports, or moves or attempts to transport or move such alien within the United States by means of transportation or otherwise. . . ."

Capt Gregory Prickett I was asking your opinion. Like I said it doesn’t make logical sense that legal actions aren’t pursued if an avenue exists for that to occur.

1. The AG in Texas is under indictment. That seems like the legal system is working.

2. Maybe all Jan 6th rioters haven’t been prosecuted, but there certainly have been numerous prosecutions and convictions. That seems like the legal system is working.

3. Fair point.

4. I legitimately don’t know; I’m not a lawyer. That’s why I asked for your opinion on how these state officials can avoid prosecution. I’m not arguing for/against, aside from highlighting the political advantages these policies provide. I want ALL lawbreakers prosecuted regardless of their political side because it is a requirement in an orderly society.

SPC James Neidig - Half of the 41% are female. Why did you make a statement that is factually and demonstrably false?

1. Yes and no. He's been fighting the indictment and the trial for more than 7 years, AND has been re-elected in that period. That's not really working.

2. Again, yes and no. None of the upper echelon has been tried, other than Bannon for contempt.

4. The state officials are not really avoiding anything, the prosecutors just don't have the cajoñes to charge them.

what you fail to state is - these are illegal migrants being sent to sanctuary cities. Why should Texas and Arizona bear the brunt of illegal migration? Both cities proudly stated illegal migrants are welcome in their cities? 6K over 6 months is nothing compared to how many get into Texas and Arizona weekly.

Welcome to the party NYC and Washington DC

So that makes it OK for Abbott and Doucy to conspire to commit felonies?

Capt Gregory Prickett - what felony are they committing? They are just giving those cities what they asked for. And lets be frank here - If these Mayors can defy federal law, why can't these governors? Texas and Arizona are exercising their constitutional right, or does that just work for Democrats?

And if it WAS a felony, why have they not been indicted by the DOJ? Because it is lawful.

The governors are violating 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(ii) and (iii). Show me which specific criminal laws that the mayors are violating, and I'll join you in supporting their prosecution too. Remember, violation of a law may not be a crime.

Next, what "constitutional right" is being exercised by the governors? I'll note that States do not have constitutional rights, and exercise power, not rights. I also don't understand the reference to only working for Democrats, please clarify.

They haven't been indicted for the same reason that Trump hasn't yet been indicted for his crimes. The Dems don't have any cajoñes.
