It is kind of interesting seeing the unofficial nicknames many of our military aircraft took and knowing how much of that came about.

In Udorn Thailand the C-141 was often called the "Silver Samlor." That was in reference to the Three Wheeled Pedicabs, Samlors, the Thais used to cart the GIs allover town Bar Hopping. We really looked forward to the day when the Silver Samlor would take us Home.
