In the mid 1980s I was in a college fraternity and I got to listen to all kinds of music. I'm glad that Egyptian lover is still alive and well worldwide. If you look on YouTube, Egyptian lover has been in Russia, Greece and other countries playing his hip hop music. I didn't know he was from Los Angeles until recently.
