Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is clandestinely manufactured in Mexico, but the ingredients of this synthetic opioid are exported from China, which has no incentive to stop its drug syndicate from foreign deals. The DEA is aware of it and should share such vital intelligence with other authorities, so proper decisions are taken. The DEA claims Fentanyl is 50 times stronger than morphine, yet, medically, this synthetic opioid is used in the U.S. as an anesthetic, in an injection procedure, prior and post surgeries, and as an a narcotic analgesic to control moderate to severe pain in cancer patients. This is what the Mayo Clinic claims.
The overdose of fentanyl is when it is used without proper medical intervention or as a social drug. This synthetic opioid is regularly replaced with heroin, cocaine and methamphetamines by pharmaceutical companies in the U.S. and abroad because it is more profitable on the bottomline and also on the topline of business. So, if the GOP Congressman from Florida wants to stop fentanyl overdoses then, he should introduce a bipartisan bill to properly regulate pharmaceutical companies in the U.S. and medical treatment facilities across the country.

Contrary to the headline of the article, GOP Congressman calls for bombing Mexico, I listened to the clip and read the various articles. There is nothing in there where he said to bomb Mexico.
As for Fentanyl deaths, it is one of the leading causes of drug deaths in the country. People can easily overdose on it. Police officers have been known to be exposed and die or come close to it on routine cases where they came into accidental contact with it.
For that and many other reasons, the border needs to be controlled which is not happening under Biden

What is the breakout of fentanyl overdoses manufactured by pharmaceutical companies in the US [which presumably have rigorous quality control] versus fentanyl produced by illicit drug manufacturers [which presumably don't have rigorous quality control]? Pharmaceutical companies produce useful products. Do we really want to deny those who need fentanyl because of a minority that abuse fentanyl? As far as cleaning up our house first, we should be able to walk and chew gum at the same time.
