Things have not been going well for Russia in Ukraine for quite a long time. I have to wonder how they will equip their partial mobilization and those mobilized appear to be getting next to no training. If I were a suspicious person I'd start wondering exactly who was called up in the partial mobilization and if Putin isn't culling dissidents.
Regardless, it is becoming increasingly obvious that as along as Ukraine is supplied by the west, not only won't Russia be able to win, they likely can't hold on to the parts of Ukraine they have already captured.

Im here in Ukraine now and i can tell you guys and gals that the advances are much more extensive and dramatic the news organizations in the west are reporting. We are moving forward at a rapid pace while the Russians are falling back and surrounding with each movement we make. Slava Ukraini

They lost territory, doesn't mean they took heavy losses for troops.

SPC Frank Jaeger While fog of war is always a thing, pretty much all third party estimates agree that the Russians are indeed taking heavy losses for equipment and troops.
