We will again see where our money is really spent, elsewhere!

Don't give a crap where it's spent if it keeps our troops out of a hot war.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Mostly agree. Still not sure how shadowy slush funds used to do debt payments instead of humanitarian aide, buy weapons, etc. helps to do that, but agree on pretty much the other stuff we're doing.

(said in the best 'redneck drawl') - Bleed dem Commie Rooskies dry!

While I agree with the concept, I question the applicability. How does this prevent a hot war? That statement makes an erroneous assumption that we are obligated to Ukraine in any way at all...

We are not the world's police.

Before we go on and on about this particular bill we must closely examine how every piece of legislation is structured. Pork is a fact of life in DC and this bill is no different. It's how the system works, if you'll give me your vote I'll include funds for your pet project in the bill. It's not a right or left thing, it's our system in all its glory.

Greetings Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - You're on target that it's what politicians love to use to buy votes or stuff a pork barrel that they can use for discretionary spending without a lot of scrutinies. It's been going on for a long time but it doesn't make it right. Bridges to nowhere, $105 billion, for a CA railway between San Francisco and LA that was supposed to cost $9 Billion, and the first phase of the rail won’t even be finished until 2029. The list is long with an incredible waste of taxpayer money. The result, let's present a bill for higher taxes.

If you have a leak in your water heater you might look at it and say it's been that for a while, or devise a solution for the problem. Our representatives are supposed to have "we the people" interests in mind and that means they have a fiduciary responsibility. It's always been that way, is simply not the answer. It's why we have the word change in our vocabulary.

Term limits would go a long ways towards making some of these people accountable.

SPC Jeff Daley, PhD What happened to full disclosure? Every time the U S donates $ to Ukraine, I wonder how much the European Union contributed, after all, they are the ones in the line of fire!
