https://youtu.be/3j8mr-gcgoI?si=l1zrngvShB0F0-HuGood mid to late afternoon my Brothers and Sisters in Arms!
I bring you a few songs in my "Music Interlude" for this afternoon... For my first song, I chose one from a great performer and group by the name of Pink Floyd and the lead singer, David Gilmour... The song is titled "Wish You Were Here" - Live Unplugged!!!
Pink Floyd wasn't one of my favorites, but my oldest son loved the music of Pink Floyd, so I thought I'd give it a shot and I was favorably impressed with the song by David Gilmore, one of the who joined the band in 1967...
About Pink Floyd and David Gilmour:
"Pink Floyd are an English rock band formed in London in 1965. Gaining an early following as one of the first British psychedelic groups, they were distinguished by their extended compositions, sonic experiments, philosophical lyrics, and elaborate live shows. They became a leading band of the progressive rock genre, cited by some as the greatest progressive rock band of all time.
Pink Floyd were founded in 1965 by Syd Barrett (guitar, lead vocals), Nick Mason (drums), Roger Waters (bass guitar, vocals) and Richard Wright (keyboards, vocals). With Barrett as their main songwriter, they released two hit singles, "Arnold Layne" and "See Emily Play", and the successful debut album The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (all 1967). David Gilmour (guitar, vocals) joined in 1967; Barrett left in 1968 due to deteriorating mental health. While all four members contributed compositions, Waters became the primary lyricist and thematic leader, devising the concepts behind Pink Floyd's most successful albums, The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977) and The Wall (1979). The musical film based on The Wall, Pink Floyd – The Wall (1982), won two BAFTA Awards. Pink Floyd also composed several film scores." Read more at Wikipedia.com
