There was another mass shooting over the weekend. This time it was in Colorado Springs.
Five people were killed and at least 18 others were physically injured at an LGBTQ+ club Saturday night that was hosting a drag show. Joshua Thurman hid in a dressing room during the shooting.
“Our community is shattered,” Thuman told The New York Times. “This is the only LGBTQIA+ space we have in the city of Colorado Springs. Where are we going to go? We can rebuild. We can do things, but that’s not going to take back those five people that died. Or the other 18 that were injured. … How can we now do anything knowing something like this can happen?”
Police say the gunman started shooting as soon as he entered the club, but that the quick actions of patrons Richard Fierro and Thomas James to subdue the shooter probably saved lives.
The 22-year-old shooter hasn’t formally been charged, but he is being held on murder and hate crimes charges, according to the Associated Press.

The shooter displayed emotional problems long before the shooting. He held his mother hostage by claiming he had a bomb and forced police negations for release of his mother. No charges were filed so he could buy a gun. He claims he is non binary so he fits some where on the LGBTQ spectrum so the motivation was not clear. It is amazing how quick people were to accuse the right for the attack, even some on here.

LTC David Brown LTC. Whataboutism is the best you can do. Fact no one till Trump ever blew off a subpoena but it became common practice and showed a complete disregard for the law. We go from a nation of laws to a Nation with Trump as president and his ,his party and supporters thumbing their nose at the very foundation of our Country. Even today you have Republicans refusing to certify elections for no other reason than they don't want too.

CPT Lawrence Cable - I forgot about all the times Obama officials blew off subpoenas. If ySGT Anonymous wants to talk about rule of law let’s remember millions of illegal aliens that Democrats are allowing to enter America.

LTC David Brown - These weren't the first either, but more recent and among the most blatant. The other part of that equation is that DOJ didn't prosecute any of these people either. The last person to be sentenced to jail time beside Bannon would be Rita Lavelle in 1983. What Obama did during his Administration is weaponize the FBI and DOJ and turned the Nation into Chicago.
I would point to Carter Page and Mike Flynn as examples of the FBI and DOJ using their relatively unlimited resources to pound someone into submission. I think that even the Jan.6 Defendents will end up having their cases reversed if they have enough funds to pursue it, but it won't give them back the years of their lives that they have lost already.

I will have to point out that the shooter's lawyer has stated that the shooter is 'Non-binary" and requests that he be addressed as "They/Them".

This is saddening because of some "Biased" individual who managed to take matters into their own hands just because that individual didn't agree on how certain individuals choose to live their lives.
