Juul settles more than 5,000 lawsuits over its vaping products

Juul Labs has reached settlements covering more than 5,000 cases brought by about 10,000 plaintiffs related to its vaping products.
Financial terms of the settlement were not disclosed, but Juul said that it has secured an equity investment to fund it.
Buffeted by lawsuits, Juul announced hundreds of layoffs last month and bankruptcy appeared increasingly likely as it secured financing to continue operations.

Curious how JUUL was singled out for its "marketing" when I can see all the other companies vaping products right alongside the JUUL products at the local 7-11.
Full disclosure, after being a pack a day smoker for years and watching my 3-mile run time drop from under 17 minutes to around 22-23 minutes over 20 years, I was finally able to kick the cancer sticks with the JUUL vape. Most might say I just swapped my addiction, which is fair, and while I am sure respirating anything into one's lungs is not healthy, I am quite certain that the vape is not near as hazardous as the smokes, and everything smells and tastes a lot better... and my house and clothes don't smell of smoke any longer. And as far as vaping goes, I prefer the JUUL product.
