How we treated Japanese-Americans during the early part of WWII was another dark stain in the history of our country.

Some WWII history:

It was told the 442nd Infantry Regiment consisting of Nisei Japanese-American soldiers in the WWII European front ordered to form up for the Division Commander. He showed up and looked at the sparse formation and said he wanted to see all the soldiers to which the Regimental Commander angrily said this is all of the men. He was so pissed that he refused to shake hands with the DC. The 442nd was given several very tough missions that were extremely costly to the regiment in the war. I believe they were ordered to rescue a Texas unit and lost more soldiers in prosecution of the mission than they rescued.
