I guess some Republican and Democrat congressmen and Senators (including some of their wives) were concerned about rock music back in the 1980s. I do recall seeing this on tv.
Dee Snider from Twisted Sister was invited to Congress and didn't come conservatively dressed like John Denver and Frank Zappa did. He purposely came to Congress wearing regular rock and roll regalia.
I wonder if the January 6th hearing was just as much as a kangaroo cord is this one was but Dee Snider made an ass out of Al Gore and others. I wonder if congressman Jim Jordan would have done the same thing to the January 6th committee had he not been excluded by the supposedly inclusive Democrats?
Dee Snider told the Congressional panel that he doesn't do drugs, drink or smoke. Dee Snider also gave clear and concise answers to questions and pressed people like Al Gore when they didn't answer his question correctly.
Ironically, having warning labels an album cover back then actually enhanced the sales of rock and roll albums.
This was the unintended consequence of the PMRC!

Apparently those members of Congress and other entities had no concept that Mr. Snider was as capable as He proved to communicate as well as He did and shoot holes in all they had alleged and tried to control. They got quite a surprise upon ALL those issues. !

Snider was fantastic and shoved the PMRC right back up Tipper Gore's hoo hoo.
Tipper Gore reminded me of the Battalion Commander's wife who'd come in and throw his rank around the Family Support Group meeting. She got exactly what she deserved.

I included another video that was discussing this. Supposedly, Tipper Gore was upset because her kids heard a song from The Prince album Purple Rain that talked about a female who masturbated. She blames Prince when she was the one who bought the album for her kids!
