"Linebacker" got the North Vietnamese to the peace talk tables.

I grew up admiring WW2 and Korea vets, but Vietnam vets are my heroes. I watched several of my Dad's Marine Reserve unit depart for service in Vietnam. I remember their faces when they returned!

Amazing photo! It's a whole different battlefield from the vantage point.

SGT Mary G. Those are all paintings. @LTC John (Jack) Christensen flew B-52s and said they were always at least a mile apart. The artist clearly took some liberties in order to give more context.

MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. - Thanks. It did seem odd the B-52s were so close together. Calculating hitting the target must have been a feat - given the variables. The view of Hanoi from the air seems so remote.

Operation Linebacker II was an aerial bombing campaign conducted by U.S. Seventh Air Force, Strategic Air Command and U.S. Navy Task Force 77 against targets in the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam) during the final period of U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.

I love the illustrations Dale.
