Let's face it, EV's are a somewhat viable option in major metropolitan areas but they won't be able to meets the needs of rural areas in the US, let alone the world.

Anecdotal evidence shows the performance and capabilities of EVs as touted the the companies are not anywhere reality. I recently read an article where a F150 Lightning had to stop and recharge at approximately every 100 miles.
My 2008 F150 took me from Silverton, OR to Ft Hood, TX for mob processing twice and back after completion of my tour of duty. I made the 2100 miles both times in three days. Once towing a U-Haul trailer. Could you imagine how long either trip would have taken in the Lightning?
