I like how they get their numbers.... 70% said the college should offer or support abortion related services.

Of course, they include mental health counseling and contraception in there. So a pro-mental health, but anti-abortion person will answer yes because, mental health counseling is important. And almost ALL of the anti-abortion folks point to contraception as a responsible choice to prevent pregnancy as compared to an irresponsible choice to end pregnancy.

Way to intentionally skew the numbers, pollsters. Good job.

I believe you left off an important caveat of the statement you quote: “Survey data from BestColleges also found that 75% of students claim institutions should support those who seek reproductive health care, including abortions…”, then the article goes on to mention the 70% you speak about: “colleges should support students in obtaining access to abortion” whatever support means. It all over the place.

The portion of the article even more important than what we are speaking about above is the quote: “…37% of current students claiming that they would have opted to attend school in a different state if the decision had been made earlier.”

The essence of the article I posted is about how large groups of youngsters are deciding life changing events and moves based on a political factor that may or may not serve them well. I believe they are going to find out about life really quick.

SFC (Join to see) My point is that the poll itself is deliberately skewed. I don't trust a single result from that poll.

Americans born here want to migrate to countries that share their values and beliefs, older Americans are trying to bring back the beliefs they grew up on and immigrants are trying to come here and escape nations our corporations or government toppled. It's mind boggling. For the longest time I wanted to leave the us and move to Japan. I still want to visit. You have to visit somewhere before you decide if you want to move. Honestly if I find somewhere else I feel like I fit in why not move? People should always move somewhere else that fits their character. Conservatives and republicans have been doing it for decades now moving from the coasts into the heartlands with the exception of Florida, that's geezer city USA. Millennials didn't want to immigrate over seas without studying their first and that's why those who attended a satellite school may have went back after university. The us isn't the greatest nation in the world as it was 40-50 years ago. Our internal conflict has lowered our nations rankings in every aspect but military strength and economy. We aren't the safest, we aren't the happiest, we aren't the healthiest, smartest, cleanest, ect. Instead of looking for ways to improve the nation we seek to dismantle what we have until theirs nothing left. By the time you're gone Mr. Walko, this very continental nation could very well look very different. An If that happens no political side is to blame. The us has been a cultural war since it's very inception. I just don't think that cultural war can continue anymore. One group wishes to make abortion illegal out right while the other wishes to give a woman absolute choice, one side seeks to ban fire arm manufacturering and make it illegal for citizens to own said firearms. One seeks big government regulation while the other wishes to practically do away with it entirely. One wishes to have government funded everything so everyone has basics taken cared of while the other says stay out of my pockets and leave the charity to the churches. You get my point. The internal conflict will reach the tipping point. And what comes after who knows.

You speak of the polarizing opposites we have in our society and that is true. Before that you speak of how we experienced life in far away lands and different states before we settled down where we are. Hopefully before we made these moves, we most of us looked at a lot of different factors from housing to taxes, to general cost of living issues. This is all true.

The essence of the article I posted is about how large groups of youngsters are deciding life changing events and moves based on a political factor that may or may not serve them well. Again, as my mother would say it appears “Many of them would cut off their noses to spite their faces”, if you can understand her meaning.

Buh bye! But you know they won't leave. Just like all those Hollywood 'stars' who said they would.
