They knew early on cloth and paper masks were useless against covid. The individual virus was microns smaller than what cloth and papers masks would stop, yet they forced us to wear them. And the kicker, not one elected official stood up and said anything. They all meekly accepted it and remained quiet. Never again.

All part of the plan. If they wear the mask, they will take the 'vaccine,' they will stay indoors, they will shop only where we let them, when we let them, and we can shove the rest of our insidious agenda down their throats. No apologies, no contrition, no shame.

Agree with the article regarding the efficacy of universal masking, ESPECIALLY when you balance it against the societal and developmental harm it causes, particularly to very young children.

However, the wearing of masks by the infected or possibly infected individual DOES reduce the viral load they can transmit by stopping much of the expelled water vapor when breathing/coughing/etc. While it might not protect you from catching the virus, it will help with others.

I'm not in favor of a mandate because the approach for a mandate is "Use the largest blunt force object available to pound it into submission".

However, if you feel sick or even think you might be - do everyone a favor and wear a mask - not for your health, but to decrease your contribution to others getting sick.

With all due respect, Sir, a sick person wearing a surgical mask to help prevent the spread of a virus (bacteria is another story), is as effective as only wearing a t-shirt in a snowstorm to help keep warm. There is ZERO efficacy for surgical masks against viral spread. ZERO. It doesn't change because the person is sick. People who are sick should limit their exposure to others, cover their mouth and nose when sneezing/coughing, wash their hands frequently, and seek a doctor's advice for getting better along with proven homeopathic remedies.

MAJ Montgomery Granger - It doesn't stop the virus, it contains the water vapor/droplet which contains the virus. It DOES reduce the viral load spreading.

Sir, with all due respect, wearing a surgical mask to prevent the spread of a virus is like wearing only a t-shirt in a snowstorm to keep warm. The droplet thing was debunked almost immediately after it was floated by quacks. COVID is airborne (doesn't need droplets). They meant to tell you that the mask is designed and effective against the BACTERIAL contamination of a surgical field in the controlled environment of an operating room. That's it. How do I know? 36 years retired public school health educator/administrator; former Combat Medic (5 years) and Medical Service officer (17 years). BS Ed., MA (Teachers College-Columbia University); School District Administrator (SUNY Stony Brook). The science didn't change because of COVID.
