Got to give him credit at the age of 60 and still does all his own stunts. Box office gold.

No. He is the longest last action star, currently.

But there are plenty of great action stars out there, with Deayne Johnson topping the list.

As for just plain movie stars, not limiting it to action films? Tom Cruise is "the other Tom." He is a distant memory behind Tom Hanks.

You should read the article. Like the article says with respect to box office bankability Cruise was named the highest earning film star in 2022 (he is consistent). I think Johnson has come a long way in film but doesn't break the top 5 in opinion.

LTC Jason Bartlett I did read the article. He made the most money in 2022. That doesn't mean he is the last star.

Cruise is #5 all time. Behind Hanks, and 3 folks (Johanssen, Downey, and Jackson) who have HUGE boosts based solely on the Marvel franchise which had far more to do with the movie than the actor. (And could be argued that if you divide the gross across the stars - they drop WAY down).

Plus Hanks has 2 Oscars for best actor.

And if we look back a few years, from 2016-2020, The Rock was #1 or #2 every year for pay. Cruise had a standout year in 2022, sure. But that doesn't necessarily mean much when looked at in context.
