SFC William Farrell I understand your sentiments... however i view this as a win-win situation. Those entering this program are at least looking to improve themselves in order to serve their Country. If not for this opportunity... hard telling how their life might turn out.

I agree with you Charlie. I just think that we as America need to rethink how we are doing things. What has changed since you and I went to school.

Or, the Services could make JROTC type classes more readily available in all High Schools. Maybe set up Academy style centers across the country that don't cost thousands of dollars to attend for motivated students. I went to Camden Academy in Camden SC for a while. It just cost to much to continue and a life in the military wasn't in my plans at the time.

This is sad that our prospective candidates for the Army has to have remedial help to pass and or exceed the standards for entry into the Army!
