What? What is wrong with these people...Why don't we just line up all the politicians for the past 15 years and send some FBI agents out to search everyone's residences?

This is probably much more common that we'd like to believe. I'm already taking bets on who will be next.

Maj John Bell - Whoever the custodian was, they certainly were asleep at the wheel for all of these politicians who have been holding onto these documents.

Maj John Bell - Personally I never even attempted to remove classified documents from the vault until I had fully prepared my brief. Once ready they were only transported (by me) in a locked case. It stayed locked until I took them out for the briefing. After wards no one left the room until I had all the copies back in hand.
I once prepared to have a Lieutenant General sign for his copy on a DA 2963 (Classified Document Accountability Sheet) with appropriate cover sheet. He decide rather than taking it at time to have his accompany me back to vault so he could sign it out directly,
Such was a sample of my S2 life when dealing with any documents.

SFC Ralph E Kelley - My BnCO wasn't happy when I ended his sign out privileges. But he understood and did not take it out on me. I put a nice comfy office chair in the CMS and a small desk.

I fear LTC Broom is correct in this. This is more common for politicians and bureaucrats than we would like to believe.
