The thing with the electronic oriented lights is that you can set the amount of seconds on each light's duration . You can make the green time be 1 minute, , the yellow light 2 seconds , then the red light 2 minutes.
Don't believe me , come to Pittsburgh. It's a well known intersection. Cops love it.

OH.. Reminded Me Of Something:
While Stationed At OSAN AFB, In South Korea, One Of The Guys ALWAYS Had Money.. No Matter The Time Of The Month,,,I Just Recall His Last Name, "Taylor; . I Asked Him How He Always Managed To Have So Much Cash On Hand. He Laughed And Said...
"My Mom Sends Me My Allowance". (Laughing).... "Actually, Our Great Grandfather Invented The Paperclip & We're Still Getting Royalties, And I Get Sent Some Of It Once A Month"...
Makes Me Wonder About The Relatives Of GARRETT MORGAN.;
I Wonder If They're Getting A Cut.....

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney - sounds hokey to me! A patent is only good for seventeen years before it can be copied without paying a licensing fee.

Cpl Vic Burk - So I Understand, But That Doesn't Necessarily Mean The Manufacturer Isn't Still Using It Under Contract... But I Really Haven't A Clue, All I Know Is What I Was Told; And That Was In 1964.
Could The Fee Be Renewed For The Copy Right Designs?
Besides, There Are A Multitude Of Other Designs Already Being Produced.
Again... All I Really Know Is What I Was Told; I Know Nothing Else About It....

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney - All the inventor really has to do it make an "improvement" to it and get a new patent! Drug manufacturers even pay smaller pharmaceutical companies NOT to copy it so they can keep the prices higher.

When my son was young, I was telling him what the colors of the lights meant.

"Red means stop, Green means go, and Yellow means to proceed with caution"

He said, "Nope ... that's not what it mean because I've been watching you.
Red means stop, green means go, and yellow means go REAL fast!"

Now if Garrett Morgan only put out definitive guidance on what yellow means...
