Rising extremism and anti-semitism pose a growing threat in the United States. Award-winning journalist Talia Lavin has been focusing on these disturbing trends, even going undercover to study the far right in her book, Culture Warlords: My Journey Into the Dark Web of White Supremacy.
Her findings will be the focus of a local talk she’s giving later this month hosted by Action Tank. Kevin Aldridge is the moderator for Exploring Extremism: A Conversation with Talia Lavin, Feb. 22 at 5:30 pm at the Mayerson JCC. This is a hybrid event and Lavin will attend virtually. The event is a kickoff to Action Tank’s Preventing Political Extremism Project.

Well, when you jump into the world of white supremacy, you're bound to find it. Did she think it wouldn't be very prevalent amongst themselves? I'm sure if she was to dive into the inner-city in Detroit, or Birmingham, South Fulton, she would find a very different view of people as well.
I don't expect to find Fuji Apples when I open a bag of Mandarin oranges, nor do I expect to find bananas when I open a bag of avocados.
She's trying to compare society to one small group of extremists. I wouldn't believe anything she has to say on the topic, other than White extremist exist. . . . but we already know that.
