Wayne Alexander, 62, of Grand Isle, died on Thursday after falling through the ice while fishing near Grand Isle, troopers wrote in a news release.
His body was found in the water hours after he had been expected to return home, troopers said. Alexander was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead."
