Things must be different in Georgia. Because where I am from the word jury REQUIRES two things:
Peers and
Confidentiality.
Yes, grand juries, too.
When I was on grand jury, DA and all witnesses left the room while we discussed, and no notes were allowed to leave the room. All were immediately
collected and shred.
How is a group of untrained people (i.e. peers selected at random) supposed to conduct an investigation? How are they supposed to produce a report?
I am not doubting the work of the group or trying to question whatever the report may or may not say. But thatis certainly not any type of jury as I know them to exist.
