If only the LGBTQ community just stop trying to get religious based organizations to acknowledge them. And if only these religious groups just let the LGBTQ communities live their lives. God will judge each individual; not these groups. But whatever. Everyone is always afraid their rights are in jeopardy when another group attains rights. People of Color and religiuos minority groups know this very well.

SFC (Join to see) - You conveniently left out the second half of my argument where I stated religious organizations should let the LGBTQ community live thier lives. It is not for them to judge and dictate how others lives. Note religious groups are also "special interests" groups that demand "basic rights". Acceptance does not cause one or more to lose their identity. That is a fallacy pushed by those that don't want to accept others in their society. Human history have seen this kind of prejudice (racial, ethnic, religious, etc.) everywhere. End of the day, individuals can only participate in places where they are accepted and hope they be allowed to live in peace. If government starts legalizing one form of discrimination, it is a matter of time before other forms are legalized.

MAJ Byron Oyler - Of course, you are right. The gay people I know assure me these LGBTQIA+ Nuts don’t speak for them. As a matter of fact, they feel their struggle to be accepted has been hijacked by the Transgender Movement.

MAJ James Woods - I believe you can tell I was writing for effect of how/why it seems the LGBTQIA+ seems intent on destroying religion. After the basic right to exist we have Freedom of Association. When one group goes after another’s young in an apparent attempt to increase their own numbers, well what can I say? Wars have been started over less. Government has started advocating for LGBTQIA+ when we see acceptance programs being taught in early grade school to normalize what many don’t want taught to their children. There is no quicker way to get into a fight than to screw around with a person’s child. They need to learn to “live and let live” or there will be severe consequences in our society. Sides are mobilizing as we speak.

I am glad I am old and out of it. My grandchildren have grown relatively unhurt from these wackos. My eldest grandchildren who have recently graduated have explained to me how their HS pushed gay/trans agenda to where some children who don’t have good guidance and/or low self-esteem get caught up in it very easily. I fear our educational institutions don’t realize the fire they are playing with. There is a very fine line there.

SFC (Join to see) I'm sorry but you're being naive implying the LGBTQ community is out to destroy religion. Many of them are religious and have embraced a theologic belief system. It's the naysayers that tell them they can't be Jewish or Christian or Muslim or whatever in contradiction to the religious teachings of acceptance and only God will judge a person.
When I see politicians making laws to protect child marriage, incest, marital rape, mandatory pregnancies for young girls but then turnaround and call the LGBTQ community groomers; one should think "um what?"
I remember learning how there was a time society thought educating a woman was indoctrination or teaching racial equality and integration was indoctrination. All it is educating future generations this is what our society looks like. Learning that the kid next to you has two moms or two dads isn't indoctrination. Learning to respect one's choice for who they want to be isn't indoctrination nor is it making a kid to have to like them or be their friend.
I fear those that resist cultural change only do so cause they fear being left behind or dealing with insecurities that have nothing to do with others. To each their own. Until they start coming door to door to recruit you like various religious groups do; i'd say let them live their lives if it's not directly impacting your quality of life.

It's bad enough that you have teachers teaching kids to not say boy, girl, mother or father and use generic pronouns.

I think the woke left are going to get into a real backlash shock now that you find out that district attorneys from George Soros for getting voted out by democrats, Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot doesn't even get 20% of the vote among her fellow Democrats and other issues causing people to be Pro LGBTQ and not be fair, Equitable and inclusive of heterosexual people is going to really frustrate them very soon when the rank and file won't put up with it anymore. We have no problem with these alternative lifestyle people but when they try to brainwash our kids, People Unite!

PV2 Scott Mollette - I am against the LGBTQ movement as far as persecuting Chirstians who are against them. I have a Transgender, druggie , alcoholic step-daughter who lives on handouts or welfare. She has issues. I call her a She. She has money to change her name and make it legal here in Canada. I live in Canada.

PV2 Scott Mollette she is an example of why the United States liberals should not give Universal guaranteed income to the homeless and those who don't want to work. All they will do is buy alcohol, cigarettes and drugs and maybe buy a little bit of food if there's any money left.

It's really sad because she probably needs a pacemaker but she still keeps smoking. Before she started smoking pot at a young age, she was a soccer player, she was a good student but my wife's side of the family has a lot of dopers and druggy alcoholic types and that culture is poisonous. So many members of my wife's side of the family have passed away because of senior neglect because people who are supposed to watch them or their kids who were conceived by them care more about gambling, drugs and alcohol instead of checking on the elderly. Yes, please keep your prayers. Pot is now legal up here in Canada and it's not making things any better.

My stepdaughter was a bright high energy person just out of high school who wanted to sew some wild oats and was seduced by the drugs/lifestyle. She knew how to play the system. She died 2 years ago at the age of 38 years. This happened in the days before wide acceptance of the lifestyle by education. It is a war thrust upon us by people wanting a totally free life, and we know that’s not possible. That lifestyle of anything goes is not healthy.

That is a horribly written article. It talks about it could encroach on religious liberty but goes into zero detail.

You are right, journalism isn’t what it used to be. They needed to go into specifics about protections that are in other state laws like this. One thing for sure from reading the article is: you always get what you voted for. People better start really looking as a politician’s life outlook before they vote them into office. Sadly, these days most politicians get voted into office with the emotion generated by one or two topics. People need to look at the entire package.
